Voodoo Shack
- Best for groups of 4-6 (can fit up to 8)
- Medium-Hard difficulty
- Dim lighting, at least one person will have to bend down at least once
- Some loud, startling noises
- Creepy theming, references to tarot cards/voodoo dolls
- Fast-paced, many puzzle varieties
Super fun working together with friends from out of town to escape the Voodoo room. Puzzles were challenging but with a couple hints in the beginning we were able to make it out in the allotted time. Staff is very friendly and rooms are well maintained. Already planning a second experience in a different room with my family.

We were successful in solving the mystery of Lizzie Borden and escaped the room with 6 seconds left on the timer. We had so much fun with this escape room. We will be talking about our experience for a very long time – but will be sure not to give away any secrets. If you enjoy solving mysteries, working as a team, and being challenged, you really need to check out Trapped in the Upstate.

What a fun time we had doing Santa’s Escape room at Trapped In The Upstate. It is an inviting & clean facility. A lot of thought was put into the design of these Escape Rooms and Mark did a great job as our Game Master. This room was challenging and definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit! We will definitely be back to do another escape room here.

Prison Break
- Best for groups of 4-6 (holds up to 8)
- Beginner/Intermediate difficulty
- No loud noises or jump scares
- There is an opportunity for crawling but it is not required
- There are prop cigarettes and a poster of Baywatch models but otherwise family friendly
This room is super fun and interactive. There’s a bunch of moments where things click and it doesn’t feel as if getting to those ‘click’ moments is frustrating. The theme inside is fun and the lighting keeps things atmospheric without ever being too dark.
